Capturing the Who, What, Where, When and How of business travel in Australia, AirPlus International has pulled out a summary of the key statistics characterising business travel in 2017 taken from customer trips spanning a huge 483,124,722 miles.
Danielle Jones, Country Manager – Australia for AirPlus International tells btTB:
“Given that we specialise in making the process of paying and reconciling business travel seamless and transparent, we wanted to analyse the data from the thousands of business trips booked by our Australian customers last year and visually share the key insights from this data with travel managers across the country.
“Despite what some have predicted, we’re seeing no let up on business travel demand; in fact as our latest International Travel Management Survey (ITMS) results highlight, business travel in the Asia Pacific region is expected to increase more than in some other parts of the world this year.
“Also as business travel expectations change and more travellers look for a seamless end-to-end experience, virtual cards such as AirPlus’ A.I.D.A will become much more commonplace when it comes to paying for goods and services.”
