Tigerair Australia has announced two new planned inflight products designed to make flying with the airline more comfortable and entertaining than ever before.
In exciting news for travellers, Tigerair has today announced a plan to enter into a major inflight entertainment (IFE) content partnership with Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation (TCFF) and Fox Networks Group (FNG), that would provide customers with access to a broad range of recent release movie and TV titles.
The deal would be the first of its kind for Tigerair and Fox and was officially celebrated at the Airline Passenger Experience Expo (APEX EXPO) in California. Once aircraft are installed with the new inflight entertainment, Tigerair will be the only Australian low-cost carrier to offer IFE across its entire domestic aircraft fleet.
As part of the proposed arrangement, recently released films and a range of current popular TV titles will be available to Tigerair customers using the Tigerair Australia app on their own personal mobile devices (phones and tablets) or through compatible (laptop) browsers.
Under the plan, movie content would be updated regularly in line with TCFF release dates which would see movies and TV product on-board Tigerair before its competitors. Movies and TV shows would be provided on a pay-per-view basis at competitive prices, while other destination based and music content will continue to be available free of charge.
