Welcome to the first edition of Business Travel Quarterly, the e-zine of btTB/GBTA for corporate travel managers in Australia and New Zealand. As was clear at the Conference in Sydney in May, the pace of change in the industry is quickening. And so the theme for our first edition is, ‘The future’.
We feature an interview with CTM’s dynamo CEO Jamie Pherous. We also hear from Serko’s dynamic founder and CEO Darrin Grafton. Also with the crystal ball out is Telstra’s global travel manager Fiona Gribbon. Between them, we see that there are a lot of exciting new products and services on the horizon.
The fourth article in this edition, which looks at what travellers actually want, is based on some recent European market research by the GBTA. I’d encourage everyone, both buyers and suppliers, to become a GBTA member so that you can access the tremendous online resources of the GBTA Foundation.
We will soon be starting our half day educational and networking events across eight cities. These are also great value in terms of the information you receive and relationships you can develop.
